The investigation is focused on determining whether or not the Company provided investors with false or misleading statements or failed to disclose pertinent information. On April 3, 2023, Ascendis revealed to the market that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) had notified them of deficiencies in their New Drug Application (NDA) for TransCon PTH (palopegteriparatide) in hypoparathyroidism, which prevented the FDA from further discussing labeling and post-marketing requirements/commitments. The company did not previously disclose these deficiencies in the letter. Following this announcement, Ascendis’ shares dropped by 31% during intraday trading.
